  • Is there a dress code? What should I wear?
Formal Cocktail. We would love for you to wear a fun outfit that you have never had the opportunity to wear before. Don't worry about being too extra or quirky! Anything from floor-length gowns to dress sneakers are welcome. All we ask is that that there are no jeans and no white dresses. Want to see our suggestions and some inspiration? Check out our Pinterest board here!
  • Can I bring a plus-one?
Given the capacity of our venue, plus-ones will be limited to those listed on your formal invitations or on our RSVP site.
  • Are kids allowed to come?
While we love your kids, this will be a child-free event, with the exception of children involved in the ceremony.
  • Will there be food? More importantly, is it an open bar?
Yes! We will have a cocktail hour with hors d'oeuvres and a plated dinner. There will be an open bar serving beer, wine, and spirits from local distilleries. If you are not staying at the venue please ensure you plan transportation to your home or hotel. Ubers and Lyfts are readily available from downtown KC. We want everyone to stay safe!
  • I have a dietary restriction/allergy/religious preference - what should I do?
No worries! We will make sure you are accommodated. Please indicate your needs on the RSVP. Feel free to shoot Kaitlyn or Emily a message or email us at sleystermagness@gmail.com so we can make sure you can have a great meal!
  • May I bring a gift?
Your presence is a present in itself! If you would like to bring a gift, there will be a gift table and card box. We also have a digital registry.
  • Who's the bride?
The best part about being gay is that we're both brides! Neither of us is the groom or taking the other's name. We will be hyphenating to Mrs. and Mrs. Sleyster-Magness. No garters will be tossed or bouquets thrown - you're welcome!
  • How do I get to Kansas City?
We recommend you fly into Kansas City International (MCI). Amtrak trains also run through Union Station, in downtown KC.
  • Where should I stay as an out of town guest?
We highly encourage you to book into our Hotel KC room block. More information about the venue can be found on the stay page. Otherwise, there are many hotels and Airbnbs in downtown Kansas City.
  • Who should I contact if I have questions?
Prior to the wedding, please email us at sleystermagness@gmail.com with any questions, or just shoot us a text! Day-of, we will be very busy, so please contact our maids of honor Mary Trbovich or Hannah Gruman.
