Our Venue
The Kansas City Club, established in 1882, was one of the Midwest’s premier social clubs. The club was originally organized to build social and business connections among the leading business professionals in Kansas City.
Club members like Harry S. Truman, Dwight D. Eisenhower, and Ewing Kauffman shaped the social and economic landscape of Kansas City. However, today, Hotel Kansas City honors Bertha Goodwin, the first woman to try and become a member of the Kansas City Club. While she was denied entry, her portrait graces the walls of every single room in the hotel today. We loved learning more about her story and Hotel Kansas City's commitment to uplifting such a tenacious woman.

After the Kansas City Club moved to a new location, the building was then sold. Renovations began in May 2019 for Hotel Kansas City’s grand opening in October 2020.
